Genie is a specialist wellness counselor interested in play-based interventions for young children and adults. Her qualifications include BSocSci honours degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and certifications in play therapy from the Centre for Play Therapy and Learning. She is a licensed member of ASCHP with over 20 years of experience in working with children in South Africa and in The United Kingdom.
After completing an advanced counseling training program specializing in the play-based intervention (play therapy), she spread her wings and opened her own practice. During the course of her career, she has completed numerous courses pertaining to children and families and continues to further her knowledge and skills.
Genie is happily married and a proud mommy of her little girl. She is passionate about helping young children, adolescents and adults to navigate through difficult emotional and social difficulties and ultimately to achieve emotional resilience.

No, we do not provide written reports as verbal feedback is given. We also do not partake in any forensic assessments.
